Thank you Voni!
After nine years at IsraAID, Voni Glick has decided to step down from his role as co-CEO of the organization. He remains a member of IsraAID’s General Assembly.
Over the years, Voni has held a series of key positions in the organization, both in the field and in IsraAID’s Tel Aviv headquarters. He initiated and managed numerous emergency response missions worldwide, including in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan, Sierra Leone during the Ebola outbreak, and Iraq after the rise of ISIS. Voni was a key shaper of IsraAID’s community-based approach to humanitarian aid and helped transform the organization’s infrastructure.
Voni has been recognized several times for his efforts, including being named in Forbes Israel’s 30 under 30 list and receiving the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award in 2016. In February 2017, Voni rose to the position of Co-CEO, together with his long-time friend and colleague Yotam Polizer. Since then, the organization has grown significantly, deepening its professional foundations and building stronger partnerships with communities worldwide.
Yotam will continue to serve as IsraAID’s CEO. He commented: “We’re incredibly proud of Voni’s countless achievements over many years of tireless work with IsraAID, both here in our headquarters and around the world. Voni has been a huge part of building IsraAID’s strong professional team and ensuring that we are able to reach more communities experiencing crisis the world over.
On a personal note, I first met Voni when we were volunteers in Nepal more than a decade ago and it has been an enormous pleasure to work side-by-side with him almost every day since then, including the last few years as IsraAID’s co-CEOs. On behalf of everyone at IsraAID, I would like to thank Voni for his dedication to our shared humanitarian mission and wish him the best of luck as he starts a new journey.”
Thank you Voni!
