IsraAID Emergency Volunteer Program

IsraAID Debris Removal

When disasters strike across the U.S., IsraAID mobilizes emergency response teams - including U.S. & Israel-based specialists and volunteers - to support local communities as they recover.

This is your opportunity to join forces and make a difference where it is needed most. Sign up to join IsraAID’s relief efforts on the ground.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help support communities affected by COVID-19. Join us in supporting local food banks to sort/pack, distribute and deliver relief supplies to the most vulnerable communities. We currently only have operations in San Francisco.

Criteria to join:

What are the requirements to join? What if I’ve never done this before?
Please see criteria to join above. Previous experience implementing humanitarian aid is preferred but not required. The IsraAID team will provide a webinar training to prepare volunteers to work on the field. It is mandatory to join a webinar prior to deployment.

Will PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) be provided?
We will provide tools and personal protective equipment, including gloves and surgical masks.

How do I sign up?

How long is a typical volunteer experience?
Volunteer timing and length vary based on the needs on the ground.  Our deployment coordinators will communicate deployment details with you.

What are the health requirements?
We expect volunteers to be physically and emotionally fit to perform their volunteer tasks under challenging conditions in disaster-affected areas. At this time we do not recommend that seniors (65+) or anyone with a chronic health conditions volunteer.
We require volunteers to have obtained all necessary vaccinations (subject to deployment).
We expect volunteers to sign a health declaration in their volunteer contract.

Are there any terms and conditions?
Yes. You will be sent a copy for your review and sign prior to deployment.

I am interested in volunteering but not available in the next month?
Please register and join our professional Emergency Volunteer roster and our webinars to be announced, thus in future situations you will be contacted to join.

IsraAID reserves the right to choose which persons will be deployed. We cannot guarantee that every applicant will be chosen. There are multiple factors involved in this decision-making process. Our main goal is to help people in need; and we will do our best to include as many people as possible who have the same aspiration.
