IsraAID and Haifa University Launch Project in Kenya’s Kakuma Refugee Camp

KAKUMA REFUGEE CAMP – In the midst of Kakuma Refugee Camp’s sprawling desert, IsraAID, Haifa University, and Don Bosco hosted the inauguration ceremony for a pilot project aimed at strengthening non-specialized trauma services in the camp. Over the course of 4 months, 2 groups of graduates and experienced professionals from Haifa University’s Graduate School of Creative Arts therapies will be training psychosocial outreach workers to deal with the trauma of the more than 121,000 refugees that populate the Camp.
